The successful candidate:

The Clinical Research Educator and Policy Specialist is accountable for maintaining clinical research compliance in the CTO through robust, role specific onboarding, continuing education, competency assessments, and policy management and/or creation as they pertain to CTO supporting the mission, vision, and strategic direction of COH.

The incumbent will utilize his/her strong knowledge of clinical research, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and associated federal and state regulations to create and deliver educational content as well as collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to strengthen and enhance educational materials. The individual will be responsible for working with CTO leaders to maintain SOPs and WIs in an online platform as indicated as well as provide education on the changes to an existing SOP or implementation of a new SOP.

The incumbent must have:

  • Strong knowledge of GCP guidelines; proven experience interpreting federal, state, local and sponsor policies and regulations; experience with interpreting complex oncology clinical trial protocols and federal, state, local guidelines; demonstrated mastery of the phases of clinical trials, and the regulatory, administrative, and operational functions necessary to support the clinical research study life cycle in a safe and compliant manner.

  • Bachelor’s degree in health-related discipline or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical research setting; 2 years developing educational content, 2 years developing or coordinating suite policies and procedures.

  • ACRP, SOCRA or other clinical research professional certification within 6 months of hire.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical researching setting; 2-3 years developing clinical research education programs, 2-3 years developing or coordinating suite of clinical research policies and procedures.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $32.85 - $54.12 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
