Job Description

Primary Purpose of Position
Position serves as administrative support for the Associate Dean for Governance and Faculty Success, and the units reporting to that office (Assessment and Accreditation, Sustainability and Resilience, and Global Engagement). This includes accurate and timely administrative support connected to college governance and accreditation, sustainability and international programs, scheduling, website content maintenance, event planning support, data entry, travel authorizations, and travel reimbursements. Additional duties will include support and clerical tasks for the Dean’s Office as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school and one year of related office experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

License/Certification Required
Essential Job Functions
This Administrative Support Specialist will report directly to the Associate Dean for Governance and Faculty Success, providing essential administrative support.
Additionally, the role will assist the Director of Assessment and Accreditation Reporting with AACSB accreditation requirements and responsibilities related to BUS 4000, the WCOB’s capstone course.
The position will also contribute to broader administrative functions within the Dean’s Office and may assist other academic and administrative units within the College.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, Banner and other software applications; ability to maintain workflow; ability to manage multiple priorities amid frequent interruptions; ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information related to governance, faculty affairs, and assessment processes; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Drupal, Banner, Scala Content Manager, Live25 – or willingness and ability to learn these and other applications.

Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with a diverse community of students, faculty, staff, administrators, and stakeholders.

Collaborative spirit and willingness to learn, work, and innovate as a team member.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a college, university, or academic administration setting
Office and customer service experience
Advanced computer skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Some experience with budgets
